Invion sources are distinguished by their unprecedented purity of reagent ions, effectively minimizing contamination and achieving extraordinarily low detection limits. Furthermore, the Invion sources facilitate rapid switching between ionization modes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.

With Invion source technology, we deliver the renowned IONICON ion chemistry quality and the unmatched performance that only genuine PTR-MS instruments offer. Invion sources were first introduced to the market with FUSION PTR-TOF series where lower detection limits below 1 pptV are feasible and reagent ion switching within seconds has become the new benchmark. Moreover, the available SRI portfolio was further increased and now features CO₃^- as the first negative reagent ion, exclusively available with bipolar FUSION PTR-TOF.
