3. Contacting us and responding to your inquiry

When you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email), we collect the data you provide to process and answer your request. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (if related to a contract) or our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

In this respect, we may share your data only with our direct representatives (sales agents, distributors, or resellers) in your local region (if applicable) who can support you directly.

4. Entering into a contract with us

If you place an order with us, your data will be transmitted to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, provided this is necessary to deliver the products. Some of our products require an export license. For applying for this with the Austrian authorities and reporting our activities, we may share your data with the Austrian government (if applicable).

Your name, address, purchased goods, and date of purchase/delivery are stored until the end of the product liability period (usually 10 years). Data processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b (fulfillment of the contract) and lit. c (legal obligation) of the GDPR.

5. Newsletters

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your e-mail address will be used for our marketing purposes until you unsubscribe. We use a “double opt-in” system to ensure your active consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Once you are signed up, we will send you periodic updates regarding products, applications, technologies, events, and our company.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter e-mail or by contacting us directly.

We use a third-party email provider for our newsletters. Data transfers to providers outside the EU/EEA (e.g., the USA) are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

6. Our Events

If you sign up for events on our website, we require personal data to register you. We will use this data for the planning and execution of the event (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). If you ask us to book accommodation, we will share your data with the respective hotel, caterers, and transportation providers.

We may take pictures and/or record videos at our events. By participating, you consent to our use of this material for promotional purposes on our websites and social media channels (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

We may use third-party service providers to handle registration data. If these providers are located in the US, data transfers are safeguarded by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Website Analytics (Google Analytics)

The information generated by the cookie (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We have activated IP anonymization ("anonymizeIP") on this website, meaning your IP address is truncated within the EU/EEA before transmission.

Data transfer to the USA: Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Furthermore, your consent explicitly includes the potential transfer of data to the USA according to Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

9. Spam Protection (Google reCAPTCHA)

To protect our contact forms from spam and automated abuse (bots), we use the service Google reCAPTCHA provided by Google Ireland Limited.

This service analyzes various information (e.g., IP address, time spent on the website, mouse movements) to determine if the user is human.

The use of reCAPTCHA and the associated data transfer to Google (potentially to the USA) only takes place if you have given your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) via our Cookie Banner.

10. Customer Testimonials and Comments

We post customer testimonials on our websites, which may contain Personal Information. We obtain each customer's explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) via email before posting their name and testimonial.

11. Internal Tools and Communication

We use products by Google (Google Workspace) for internal and external communication. Data transfers to the USA related to these services are safeguarded by Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

12. Your Rights as a Data Subject

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to rectification: You can request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'): You can request the deletion of your data, provided no legal retention periods prevent this.
