The IONICON PTR-TOF 8000 and PTR-TOF 2000 are both leading their respective fields in the market of time of flight based PTR-MS instruments. The PTR-TOF 8000 features the highest mass resolving power and the PTR-TOF 2000 the lowest detection limit of all commercially available PTR-TOF-MS systems. Advantages of high mass resolution

Comparing Furan and Isoprene one can see the importance of very high resolution,
allowing to clearly separate both peaks.

Furan and Isoprene can easily be separated
and identified using a PTR-TOF 8000 system.

A time of flight with a lower resolution
will sum up both substances in one peak.
